Meet the Marcy Family
The Marcys and The Cowan Historic Mill are all about building amazing families. As business owners in Acworth, the Marcy family has been providing world class service, for over 30 years.
An Atlanta native, Gina grew up in Cobb County, attended North Cobb High School, and graduated from Kennesaw State University. Kevin moved to Georgia in 1986 after attending Ohio University. Once in Atlanta, he graduated from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service.
Kevin became a licensed funeral director in 1996, continuing the Marcy legacy for a fifth generation. His sister, Kori Marcy Campbell, joined their father in 2001 in Ohio, and Kevin and his wife, Gina, founded Georgia Funeral Care & Cremation Services in Acworth in 2012.
In 2019, the Marcys are now offering you a most unique, industrial elegant experience at North Georgia's diamond class wedding and event space, The Cowan Historic Mill.
Kevin and Gina have two married sons – Wade (Amanda) and Reed (Fabiola), and two grandsons, Mason and Jaxon.

Amanda Marcy
"As the Business Manager of The Cowan Historic Mill, my mission is to help create lasting memories for every client we serve. I approach each event with dedication and enthusiasm, because every event is special.
After graduating from Kennesaw State University with a Public Relations degree, I started my career in the wedding industry. There was just something about the family aspect of weddings that spoke to me even at a young age. Growing up in a small business family, I knew that my career needed to be in a small business. Our family-owned venue brings a perfect touch of detail and love to every family we host. It is our goal, and top priority to make every guest feel welcome and happy.
Since graduating from college, I have worked full-time managing a local venue and part-time coordinating for a local planner. The experience that I have gained has been invaluable, and will follow me through into this new journey at The Cowan.
As we make all of your dreams come true, hosting an event at The Cowan Historic Mill will truly be a once in a lifetime experience."
