Meet Our Business Manager, Amanda Marcy

"As the Business Manager of The Cowan Historic Mill, my mission is to help create lasting memories for every client we serve. I approach each event with dedication and enthusiasm, because every event is special.

"After graduating from Kennesaw State University with a Public Relations degree, I started my career in the wedding industry. There was just something about the family aspect of weddings that spoke to me even at a young age. Growing up in a small business family, I knew that my career needed to be in a small business. Our family-owned venue brings a perfect touch of detail and love to every family we host. It is our goal, and top priority to make every guest feel welcome and happy.

Since graduating from college, I have worked full-time managing a local venue and part-time coordinating for a local planner. The experience that I have gained has been invaluable, and will follow me through into this new journey at The Cowan.

As we make all of your dreams come true, hosting an event at The Cowan Historic Mill will truly be a once in a lifetime experience."

The Cowan is a Beautiful, Historic Experience

The historic city of Acworth is now home to a beautiful new venue, The Cowan Historic Mill. In the 1870’s, John Cowan established this building as a flour mill. Over 125 years later, this is one of Acworth’s oldest buildings.

Previously known as “The Old Mill Restaurant” this space is being renovated to hold small intimate events all the way to extravagant weddings.

Whether your event is inside the industrial-elegant ballroom, or outside on our charming two-story patio, you’re sure to have an event you’ll remember for a lifetime! Our bride and groom suites are a newly renovated feature to the building and are sure to be perfect for your big day!

We are excited to host our first event coming up, and hope you consider The Cowan for your special occasion too!
